What’s one piece of advice you would like to give to parents?

Trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What are your hobbies?

I love snowboarding, dancing, cooking, painting and traveling.

If you weren’t a doctor, what would you be?

A teacher.

Tell us what you love about working around kids.

Children are so resilient and I love their imaginations.

Do you have kids yourself?

Yes, a 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter.

Are you originally from Houston? If not, where are you from?

I’m originally from Los Angeles but grew up in Sugar Land, Texas.

Do you speak any other languages besides English?

I speak three other languages, Spanish, Mandarin and Taiwanese.

Where did you attend school?

I went to Clements High School, earned my bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis and my doctor of medicine degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
