About Dr. Ellen Friedman, Chief of Otolaryngology

In 1991, I came to Texas Children's Hospital from Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. I currently serve as the Chief of Service at the Department of Otolaryngology.

I was recently named the 2010 recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism in Medicine, which honors a practicing physician who demonstrates compassion and empathy in the delivery of patient care by showing respect for patients, families, and co-workers.
