About Dr. Marianna Sockrider, Pediatric Pulmonologist

I am a pediatric pulmonologist and Chief of the Pulmonary Clinics at Texas Children’s Hospital.

I also have a Public Health doctorate degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.

My research interests are in the prevention of lung disease, patient/family education, and self-management of chronic lung diseases such as asthma and cystic fibrosis. I am on the local Leadership Council for the American Lung Association Gulf-Plains Region and am active in the National Asthma Education Certification Board and the American Thoracic Society nationally.
